Qurbani FAQ
Anyone who possess the nisab value at the time of sacrifice. Those who qualify to give Zakat qualify to give Qurbani.
As soon as possible, this helps us to pre-order your Qurbani ensuring that the needy will receive their Qurbani in time for Eid. The sacrifice will take place on the 10th and 11th of Dhul Hijjah.
your Qurbani will be offered on the 10th Dhul Hijjah after the Eid Salah and will be distributed to the poor during the 3 days of Eid.
You can mention your name in the comments section of your donation for your Qurbani and anyone else you are ordering it on behalf of. However, if you forget to do so this is not detrimental, as intention is the main thing.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Actions are according to intentions, and everyone will get what was intended…” Bukari & Muslim
If you have missed previous Qurbani’s please calculate the amount you have missed and donate them today along with this year’s Qurbani.
We offer Qurbani in 3 main locations where starvation or famine is rife. Meat is more expensive in these areas, than some other locations you will find, because meat is so scarce in these lands. We recommend, in order to actualise the true essence of Qurbani and sacrificing from that which you love (as commanded by Allah in The Qur’an), in order to attain taqwa, to offer Qurbani from one of the 3 locations we offer. By doing so, you will be providing an excellent quantity of fresh meat, to people who rarely get to taste meat!
We use ethically sourced sheep and cows under Scholar supervision. All of our animals have a good meat yield per kg.
If you are a lone donor, you only need to offer 1 share of Qurbani. This qualifies as either a full small animal (sheep) or 1 share of a cow. If you are from a large family, we recommend finding 7 donors to share the sacrifice of a full cow together and share the barakah of your sacrifice with your loved ones!
You can offer a Sadaqah donation in the form of a food parcel, to provide a family in Gaza or Syria with food over Eid and for the weeks thereafter. Food parcels begin from £55.
Qurbani is Wajib for Hanafi’s. All other schools of thought it is Sunnah.
