Do you know about the difficulties facing Bosnian people in winter?
Over 60% of the population of Bosnia live in poor, isolated and rural areas. Living in poverty in mountainous regions causes many to be plunged into a lifetime of poverty with an endless cycle of hardship stemmed from a lack of education in a post-war climate. Winter especially is difficult for poor families. Many Bosnian homes were built from the ground up, in the mountains without sufficient insulation. It’s not uncommon to hear of water and icicles coming through the ceilings in the winter period. You can help a Bosnian family through the winter today!
