As Eid al-Adha approaches, many of us are preparing to fulfil the sacred obligation of Qurbani — a powerful act of worship that brings us closer to Allah and provides relief to those in need. Find out how we’re delivering your qurbani to the most needy in Gaza in 2025.
This year, thanks to your generous support, we’re delivering Qurbani meat to families in Gaza. But how exactly do we get it there — especially in a time of crisis and logistical challenges?
Here’s how it works.
Qurbani in India, Relief in Gaza
To ensure your donations go as far as possible without compromising quality, we perform the actual Qurbani in India. India is not only home to a reliable network of experienced farmers and slaughterhouses, but it also allows us to source livestock at a lower cost — meaning more meat, for more families, with your same donation.
After the animals are sacrificed in accordance with Islamic guidelines, the meat is professionally cleaned, processed, and canned for transport. From there, it’s securely shipped overseas and delivered directly into Gaza, where our trusted partners handle distribution on the ground.
Why This Method Works
- Cost-Effective: Performing Qurbani in India drastically reduces the cost of animals and logistics, enabling us to stretch each donation further.
- High Standards: We work with trusted suppliers to ensure that all meat meets hygiene and halal standards.
- Reliable Delivery: By canning the meat, we ensure the meat lasts longer whilst also helping to avoid on-ground shortages and bypass the extreme difficulty of sourcing livestock directly in Gaza.
- Wider Reach: The savings we make on livestock and logistics allow us to reach more families in need — especially in conflict zones like Gaza, where food insecurity is a daily reality.
A Meal of Dignity and Hope
When families in Gaza receive their Qurbani meat, it’s more than just food. It’s a reminder that they’re not forgotten. That their brothers and sisters around the world are thinking of them, praying for them, and doing what they can to help. Even from across the globe.
So when you donate your Qurbani this year, know that your act of worship is feeding hungry mouths, uplifting hearts, and making a real difference — even in the hardest-to-reach places.
Give your Qurbani. Deliver hope. Share the joy of Eid.
