What was the impact of your Qurbani donations on Syrian refugees and the impoverished in Yemen and Sudan, this Eid? This Eid al-Adha, you brought joy, hope and relief to the suffering!
Eid is a time of celebration, gratitude and sacrifice for Muslims around the world. It is also a time of generosity and compassion. We shared our blessings with the less fortunate. One of the ways we did this was by performing Qurbani, the ritual slaughter of an animal for Allah’s sake, and the distributing of its meat to the poor and needy!
How Did Your Qurbani Distributions Benefit The Suffering?
Your sacrifice made a huge difference to the lives of thousands of people suffering from hunger, poverty and conflict. In countries like Syria, Yemen and Sudan, war and violence have displaced millions of people and caused widespread food insecurity, but your Qurbani provided a rare source of hope, nutrition and comfort to families who have lost everything.
By donating through Revive, you ensured that your sacrifice reached those who need it most. Our sustainable projects work through a network of scholars who know their communities well, and are aware of the areas of most need. What’s more, through them, we were able to distribute fresh, healthy meat to refugees and other vulnerable communities in Syria, Yemen and Sudan.
Further, we also continually provide other forms of humanitarian aid, such as daily fresh bread distributions, food parcels, water, and medical care, to help them survive and cope with their difficult circumstances.
Your Qurbani was more than just a donation. It was a sign of solidarity, a gesture of kindness and a reflection of our faith. Above all, It is a way of showing that you care about your brothers and sisters in Islam, and that you are not indifferent to their suffering. So, It was a way of fulfilling your religious obligation, while also fulfilling your moral duty.
