How are we getting aid into Gaza in Ramadan 2025?

Revive has been on the ground in Gaza since October 2023. By the Grace of Allah Almighty, we have been able to deliver aid even amidst challenging circumstances in Gaza since the conflict escalated. Over the months, we have remained fluid in our distribution to keep the needs of people on the ground our primary concern, also the safety of our beneficiaries and navigating through challenges such as border closures.

During Ramadan 2024 in the midst of the crisis in Gaza, Revive distributed:

Food Baskets – 1000 people fed for the month of Ramadan with food baskets.
Fresh and Hot Iftar – 10,000 people fed hot Iftar meals.
Bread – 165 families fed fresh bread consistently for 2 months for funds raised in Ramadan.
Shelter – 166 families in Gaza provided with shelters in Ramadan 2024.
Hygiene facilities – 40 private bath houses built separately for males and females.

We work with the Red Crescent Society to ensure aid is distributed. Few organisations are authorised to deliver aid into Gaza, which means that collaboration with partner organisations is crucial.

Where possible, aid is purchased from within Palestine itself, in order to navigate fewer border issues. Due to the network and experience of those involved in Revive’s network, we have been able to ensure a steady supply of Aid in Gaza. The nature of working in an active war zone is that aid is distributed in unpredictable circumstances. Utilising multiple partner contacts and local knowledge has enabled us to continue humanitarian work through the challenges presented.

The crisis in Gaza isn’t over. Ceasefire in reality translates as, returning to a home which is no longer there. Burying relatives who should have been laid to rest weeks/months ago or waiting for aid to arrive from within the family tent.

Gaza is in crucial need of your support this Ramadan.
