Phase 5 Hunger.
As of August 15 , more than 281,000 people in Gaza governorate representing 30% of the population are expericing Phase 5 levels of food insecurity, which is the highest rating it can get.
This essentially means that at least 20% of households face extreme food shortages, at least 30% of children suffer from acute malnutirition, and there are deaths due to starvation at a rate of at least two people per 10,000 inhabitants per day.
The Situation is in Dire Need!
514,000 people in the Gaza Strip – close to a quarter of the population – are experiencing famine. These number are expected to rise even higher to 641,000 by the end of September.
Time is running out.
The numbers are continually rising, every minute counts. Hunger levels in Gaza are more desperate than ever before.
This catastrophe has resulted in 370 confirmed deaths so far – but this is just merely the beginning.

Conditions are expected to worsen with famine conditions projected to expand to the governorates of Deir – el – Balah in central Gaza and Khan Younis in the south by the end of Septmber.
